Lauri Paasonen, Finland

Ph.D. in pharmaceutical sciences from University of Helsinki 2010. Post-docs at Sanford-Burnham Medical Research Institute, La Jolla, and University of Helsinki. Employed by UPM Biomedicals since 2014, first as an application scientist and now as a senior scientist. Work focused in wood-derived nanofibrillated cellulose hydrogel in biomedical applications such as three-dimensional cell culture. At the moment developing hydrogel for implantable clinial applications.
